CPD Suicide Awareness and Prevention
Course Overview
Around the world, more than 700,000 people die every year due to suicide. And for every suicide, there are many more people who attempt it.
This online CPD training course is aimed at anybody who wants to expand their knowledge of suicide awareness and prevention. Learners should be able to recognise the effects of suicide and suicidal thoughts on the affected individual, their loved ones and on wider society. They will also understand how to recognise suicidal behaviour in children, young people and adults and how to support individuals.
The Skills Network takes the safeguarding of individuals emotional and physical wellbeing exceptionally seriously. Some courses and subjects covered in programmes can be upsetting for learners and, although The Skills Network has made every effort to include trigger warnings where appropriate, it is important to acknowledge that we cannot know or understand potential triggers for all learners. Our courses are designed to provide training and further knowledge and should not be undertaken as a form of non clinical therapeutic intervention or counselling.
